BIO
After graduating with a degree in Sociology, Flo continued performing in New York City and Philadelphia. Taking a grass roots approach to artistry, she chose to independently achieve her dreams. FloBrown.com was first launched in 2002. It served as a centralized community and bridge between Flo and her supporters. Inspired by the blue prints of independent artists like Sam Cooke and Ani DiFranco, Flo formed an independent record label in the spring of 2003 and released her debut album, Whateva Comes To Mind, shortly thereafter. Flo’s approach proved effective as her music and live performances have been well received in Cleveland, Detroit, New York, Baltimore, Philadelphia, Washington DC, New Jersey, northern and southern California, Boston and Chicago.
